The Adventure for Poker Gold (18 Mar 2007) From the drama TILT made by ESPN to the deal Chris Moneymaker signed with Death Row Records to create Moneymaker Gaming, business continues to create strange bedfellows. Everyone seems to be trying to find the pot of gold at the end of the poker rainbow. Things are moving so fast in the poker world to where anyone can become famous for 15 minutes. But for success, luck favors the prepared.
The Art Of Basketball Handicapping (18 Mar 2007) I remember 1984 well growing up in Cleveland. The Browns were struggling, the young Cavaliers hoped they had found a shining star in the NBA draft, and the Indians were still searching for their first World Series title since 1948. How times have changed! While the year might have been a bit thin on hope for Cleveland's pro franchises, '84 was more enriching for me. That's when I began my sports handicapping career examining basketball sides and totals. I started out strictly as a basketball bettor, doing very well, so much so that people in the sports information business began encouraging me to expand my talent, which eventually led to my moving to Las Vegas.
The Art Of Bluffing In Poker (18 Mar 2007) In poker it is mandatory to bluff, but you also have to be completely honest with yourself. If you don't see yourself clearly, and recognize how others see you then you will never win, in poker or in life for that matter.

The Big 12 Report: Nebraska Cornhuskers (18 Mar 2007) The report this week comes in short form, due to an overload of capping with the NBA this week, but a subject near and dear to my heart, the Nebraska Cornhuskers are on the table this week. As an Alum, and living in Lincoln, fallout is abundant with a horrific 40-15 loss that the hands of the Kansas Jayhawks last week, another first in the Bill Callahan era at Nebraska. The first time in 36 years NU lost to KU, and I am talking football here, not hoops, which is always a given. So what is wrong with the once powerful dynasty and major bowl game staple, Nebraska?
The Big 12 Report: Week 10 (18 Mar 2007) More rumblings of upsets last week from the Big 12, and the picture gets clearer in the South Division, and a little cloudier in the North. Iowa State pulled off a shocker in College Station last week pounding Texas AM 42-14. Texas continues to roll, but were tested early before blowing out Oklahoma State, and they have an easy week this week with Baylor. Nebraska dropped 2 straight losing to Oklahoma in Lincoln, somewhat of a surprise actually, but turning it over 3 times, one for a TD will do you in versus an Oklahoma team who was impressive with what they had to work with, and on the upside of improvement, they had better players than Nebraska, I should know, since I was at the game!
The Bingo Renaissance (18 Mar 2007) Little old ladies in slippers, playing for pennies and cents in a converted community hall is no longer the reality of bingo. The game has in recent years and now more than ever undergone a rebirth i...
The Concept of Value in Sports Betting! (18 Mar 2007) In sports betting you need to make sure that your bets (and trades) are good value in order to make a profit. If you do not do this you will still win bets but profits may be harder to achieve. Let m...
The Dangers of Bingo (18 Mar 2007) Let's face it; bingo is hardly going to arouse a thrill-seeker into taking it up in attraction to its high risk stakes. Over sixties, playing bingo in a community hall does not seem to register with ...
